Masks! Our new normal. This child size has two layers of material (quilters cotton).

HILDA masks can be machine washed and dried. Like quilts, washing handmade items by hand will prolong their lifespan. Don’t be alarmed when your mask comes out of the laundry looking like a crumpled piece of paper. Since the kiddo masks are less complicated in their construction, the distortion is less severe than 3-layered adult masks. I’ve found ironing it before wearing again is most comfortable, steam those pleats back into place.

Although some hospitals are accepting this style of masks, they are not medical grade! The CDC recommends covering your face with 2+ layers when out in public, especially when 6-foot distancing is difficult (like the grocery store). Please continue social distancing, and even better, stay home.
